Sintered PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) filter element is a porous filter element made of pure PTFE through high temperature and high pressure sintering process. Its core features are strong chemical inertness, high temperature resistance (up to 200 ℃ or more), smooth surface and high porosity (more than 50%), suitable for high-precision filtration and harsh working conditions. The cartridges are available in various interfaces (e.g. M20, 222, etc.), interchangeable with other cartridges, and support customized sizes (diameter up to 1000mm).

    Production process Sintered PTFE Filter

    1. Raw material preparation: Pure PTFE powder is used, sieved and premixed. 

    2. Press molding: Fill the powder into the mold and preform it into tube or bar embryo under high temperature (50-80℃) and high pressure.  

    3. Sintering process:  
       - Drying zone (100-250℃): remove solvent oil and other impurities. 
       - Sintering zone (350-400 ℃): high-temperature molten particles, forming a uniform porous structure. 
       - Cooling zone: Slowly cool down to room temperature to prevent cracking.  

    4. Post-treatment:  
       - Etching (optional): Enhance surface properties (e.g. anti-adhesion) by chemical treatment. 
       - Cleaning and testing: Removal of residues and testing for airtightness and accuracy.

    Advantages Sintered PTFE Filter

    1. Corrosion resistance: Resistant to strong acids (e.g. sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid), strong bases and organic solvents. 

    2. High temperature stability: Long-term working temperature up to 200℃, support steam sterilization.
     
    3. High porosity and flow rate: porosity of more than 50%, fluid flux is 30% higher than metal cartridge.
     
    4. Easy to clean: smooth surface like wax, impurities are not easy to adhere to, can be repeatedly cleaned and regenerated.  

    5. No risk of degranulation: smooth inner and outer surfaces, no particles falling off to contaminate the fluid.  

    6. ozone resistance: suitable for ozone sterilization environment (such as pharmaceutical, food industry).
