Sintered PE Cap

Sintered PE cap is a porous filtration element made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) or high molecular weight polyethylene (HDPE) as the main raw material through high temperature sintering process. With smooth surface, uniform pore size distribution, both high porosity (30%-50%) and excellent physical and chemical properties, it is suitable for gas and liquid filtration and sealing scenarios.

    Product features

    - Corrosion resistance: resistant to strong acids, alkalis and organic solvents (except strong oxidizing agents such as concentrated sulfuric acid).

    - Temperature resistance: continuous working temperature up to 80℃, short-term can withstand 100℃.

    - Mechanical properties: compressive strength 0.3-0.6MPa, good toughness, not easy to break.

    - Reusable: support physical backblowing (0.6MPa compressed air) or chemical cleaning (acid/alkali soaking) regeneration.

Production Process of Sintered PE cap

    1. Raw material processing
    - UHMWPE powder is selected and mixed with plasticizers, stabilizers and other auxiliary materials.

    2. Mold filling and pre-pressing
    - The mixture is filled into the mold and pre-pressurized mechanically to form a preliminary shape.

    3. High temperature sintering molding
    - Heating in three stages (low-temperature pre-molding → medium-temperature sintering → high-temperature strengthening), the temperature is controlled at 110-130 ℃ (lower than the melting point of PE), so that the powder particles are fused and bonded to form a porous structure.

    4. Post-treatment and processing
    - After demolding, cut to the required length and install the joints (e.g. M20, M30 thread).

    5. Quality Inspection
    - Conduct bubble uniformity test, compressive strength test and chemical compatibility test.

    Advantages of Sintered PE cap

    1. High efficiency filtration: high porosity (50%) and uniform pore size design, high flow rate and not easy to be clogged.

    2. Economical and durable: can be repeatedly cleaned and regenerated, life expectancy of 1-3 years, the cost is lower than the ceramic cartridge.

    3. Safe and environmentally friendly: non-toxic and odorless, in line with the hygiene standards of the food and pharmaceutical industry.

    4. Strong adaptability: support customized shaped structure (piece, tube, rod, cap, etc.) and special precision requirements.
