Durable PE Rod for Impact Strength in Industrial Application

PE (polyethylene) rod is a thermoplastic material made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), which has the characteristics of high crystallinity, non-polar, corrosion-resistant, non-toxic and harmless. It is milky white in appearance and translucent in cross-section. It is suitable for complex environments ranging from low to high temperatures (-70℃~100℃) and is widely used in industrial, medical and agricultural fields.

    Production process of pe rod

    1. Raw material preparation 
       - Select HDPE or UHMWPE pellets, drying treatment (temperature ≤ 80 ℃) to remove moisture.  

    2. Extrusion molding  
       - Heating and plasticizing by twin-screw extruder, temperature is controlled in stages (160℃→220℃), and the mold is designed to ensure smooth flow path.  

    3. Cooling and sizing  
       - Vacuum sizing tank to control the outer diameter, spray water cooling (water temperature 10~25℃) to reduce internal stress.  

    4. Traction cutting  
       - The traction speed is synchronized with the extrusion, and the precision cutting equipment ensures that the length error is ≤1mm.  

    5. Inspection and Packaging  
       - On-line testing of wall thickness, outer diameter, sampling for hydrostatic test (such as GB/T 6111 standard).

       - Seals, sliding profiles: used for wear-resistant parts of mechanical equipment (e.g. cutting plates, bearings). 
       - Chemical piping: corrosion-resistant transportation piping (gas, sewage).

       - Medical appliances: Surgical instrument parts, catheters (e.g. PE vascular cannulae).  

    3. Agriculture and Municipal  
       - Irrigation system: weather-resistant, suitable for agricultural drip irrigation. 
       - Water supply and drainage pipes: smooth inner wall, high circulation efficiency.

       - Insulation material: Bakelite board, cable protection sleeve.
