PE (Polyethylene) Plastic Sintered Cartridge Product Details Polyethylene (PE) Plastic Sintered filter

PE plastic sintered filter is a kind of porous filter element made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) material through high temperature sintering process. Its internal three-dimensional mesh structure composed of countless micron-sized pores can effectively intercept particulate impurities while maintaining high flow rate and low pressure drop, widely used in precision filtration of liquids and gases.

    Product Characteristics

    - High porosity: uniform distribution of pores, wide range of filtration precision (1-100 micron), and strong dirt-holding capacity.

    - Chemical corrosion resistance: excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents (such as alcohols, ketones), suitable for strong corrosive media.

    - High mechanical strength: pressure-resistant, wear-resistant, can withstand high working pressure (≤ 0.5MPa), not easy to deform or rupture.

    - Easy to clean and regenerate: support backwashing, ultrasonic cleaning or chemical cleaning, high reuse rate and low maintenance cost.

    - Non-toxicity: meets food grade (FDA) and medical grade standards, suitable for hygiene-sensitive industries.

    - Chemical industry: corrosive liquid filtration, catalyst recovery, solvent purification.

    - Food and beverage: alcohol, fruit juice, edible oil and other liquids in addition to impurities, decolorization.

    - Pharmaceutical industry: precision filtration of medicinal liquid, water for injection, biological preparations.

    - Electronics industry: filtration of high-purity chemicals, semiconductor cleaning liquid treatment.

    - Environmental protection field: wastewater treatment, oil-water separation, gas dust removal.

    Product advantages

    - Long life design: strong anti-pollution ability, reduce frequent replacement, save operation cost.

    - Environmentally friendly and economical: can be cleaned and used repeatedly, reducing waste generation.

    - Strong compatibility: adapts to a variety of filter housings and supports customized sizes (length, diameter, interface).

    - Safe and reliable: no fiber shedding, avoiding secondary pollution.

    Maintenance and upkeep

    - Cleaning method: backwashing (recommended pressure ≤ 0.3MPa), ultrasonic cleaning (40-50℃ warm water) or immersion in 5% NaOH solution.

    - Replacement cycle: according to the differential pressure (ΔP ≥ 0.1MPa need to be cleaned or replaced).

    - Storage conditions: Protected from light and dry environment, avoid contact with ozone or strong oxidizing agents.

    Selection guide

To consider when selecting PE sintered cartridge:

    1. Flow rate requirement: select the number and size of filter element according to the system flow rate.

    2. Filtration precision: based on the target pollutant particle size (e.g. 1-10μm for suspended particles removal, 20-50μm for activated carbon interception).

    3. Media characteristics: Consider temperature, pH, chemical compatibility. 4.

    4. System pressure: Ensure that the cartridge pressure resistance value is higher than the working pressure.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

    - Q1: Can PE cartridge be sterilized at high temperature?
A: It is not recommended to exceed 80℃, high temperature may cause material softening and deformation.

    - Q2: How to judge the cartridge failure?
A: When the differential pressure is still higher than 2 times of the initial value after cleaning, or when the flow rate drops significantly, it needs to be replaced.

    - Q3: What is the difference with stainless steel sintered cartridge? Q3: What is the difference between sintered cartridge and stainless steel cartridge?
A: PE is more corrosion-resistant and less costly, but stainless steel is more temperature-resistant (up to 400℃).
